Emerging Stroke Clinician and Scientist

Emerging Stroke Clinician and Scientist (ESCS) aims are to:


  1. Create and support a national community of ESCS working in stroke by facilitating multidisciplinary networking, collaboration and mentoring opportunities; and
  2. Take leadership in encouraging diversity in participation in stroke research.

Definition of Emerging Stroke Clinician & Scientists: This group is aimed at clinicians and scientists who are either undertaking a postgraduate or clinical degree with a focus or interest in stroke research; or are postdoctoral fellows or early career clinicians engaged in stroke research.

Our group was officially formed in 2018. Annually at the SSA AGM, we will host an event that alternates each year between a lunchtime seminar and a preconference workshop. We would like to host additional webinars as the group grows in presence within the SSA.
